If you say to God: “Whatever you want, I’ll give you,” does that mean you have to give up everything? There are some things you might have to give up and others you won’t; but to know your vocation, or simply to follow Jesus as His disciple, you need to have the freedom to offer everything. So try to offer everything to God with open hands, for the Lord may take your gift, but He is never outdone in generosity. In the words of Pope St. John Paul II, “Do not be afraid. Open wide the doors to Christ.”
“Scivias: Know the Ways of the Lord,” is a vocational discernment series produced by the Archdiocese of Boston Vocations Office. Over the course of 27 short episodes, Fr. Michael Zimmerman invites you to explore the depths of your soul, cultivate a deeper prayer life, and take practical actions to discern your vocation. Be inspired and receive the practical tips you need to discover who God has made you to be!
