BOSTON -- The Board of Trustees of the Catholic Schools Foundation has named Michael Reardon the organization’s new executive director. Reardon replaces Sean Dunlavy who has served as executive director for the past five years.

Catholic Schools Foundation president, Peter S. Lynch, said, “Mike’s experience and success at BC High, coupled with his knowledge of Catholic education and commitment to it, made him the ideal candidate.”

As executive director of the Catholic Schools Foundation, Reardon will be responsible for the overall management of the foundation and its signature program, the Inner-City Scholarship Fund. Reardon will oversee both the raising and distribution of over $7 million annually. He will also lead the foundation through their new strategic planning process.

One of Reardon’s first tasks will be to ensure the success of the current Inner-City Scholarship Campaign.

“As a product of Catholic education, I will be forever indebted to the Franciscan Sisters and Jesuits who gave me so much opportunity. It is now my turn to work with our generous benefactors to ensure that children today receive the same transformative opportunity I was fortunate to receive,” said Reardon.

Reardon was most recently the vice president for institutional advancement at Boston College High School. While there, he was responsible for the fundraising, public relations and alumni affairs programs.

The goal of the Catholic Schools Foundation is to support the educational mission of the Church while helping to provide programs and services that ensure optimal educational oportunities for all students regardless of race, religion, national origin, or gender attending Roman Catholic primary and secondary schools located in the Archdiocese of Boston.
