Dunn retires from MCC board of directors
Dr. Martin J. Dunn is presented with a proclamation issued by the board of governors and directors
of the Massachusetts Catholic Conference by Cardinal Seán P. O’Malley and MCC director Edward
F. Saunders Nov. 22. The proclamation recognized Dunn’s 35 years as a member of the MCC board
of directors as well as well as extensive service to the wider Church. Dunn is founder and president
emeritus of Por Christo, an organization which recruits and leads medical teams to developing
countries. Through the organization Dunn, a noted oral and maxillofacial surgeon, created numerous
medical facilities and health education programs in South and Central America. The proclamation
also commended Dunn for his willingness to donate his time and talent to the Church particularly to
Boston College High School, Boston College and Regis College.
