Sunday, Aug. 6, 11 a.m.-1:30 p.m. EDT (EWTN) "World Youth Day: Portugal." Coverage of Pope Francis' meeting with volunteers (TV-G – general audience).

Wednesday, Aug. 9, 9-10 p.m. EDT (PBS) "The Ground Below." On this episode of the miniseries "Human Footprint," host Shane Campbell-Staton, assistant professor of biology at Princeton University, explores the history and science of cotton (TV-PG – parental guidance suggested).

Friday, Aug. 11, 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m. EDT (EWTN) "Father James E. Coyle Memorial Mass." Archbishop Thomas J. Rodi of Mobile, Alabama, is scheduled to serve as the celebrant of this Eucharistic liturgy at the Cathedral of St. Paul in Birmingham commemorating Father James E. Coyle, an Irish-born priest whose service to the Catholics of Alabama was cut short by his murder Aug. 11, 1921, when he was only 48 years old.
