While I was serving as Bishop of the Diocese of St. Thomas in the U.S. Virgin Islands, our Catholic population and the wider community were greatly enriched by Mother providing us programming for the diocesan television station, helping us share the prayer and teaching of the Church.

Mother Angelica lifted Catholic media presence to a new level of achievement, bringing the message of Christ into the homes of people from all walks of life. We will miss her presence greatly but we are comforted by her being called home to the Lord as the Church celebrated His Resurrection."
