Lenten programming on CatholicTV
To commemorate the Lenten Season, CatholicTV will host special programming that reflects on the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ. This includes "Seven Last Words" a musical special hosted by the Gregorian Concert Choir. "This is the Day," CatholicTV's popular daytime talk show will feature a variety of guests throughout the month to discuss the Lenten Season. The first guest is Robert Batch, a Catholic Youth Speaker and founder of "Love is Calling Ministries," a mission to share the love of Christ with young people. Dr. Mary Beth Yount, the director of programming and content for the World Meeting of Families, will also appear on the show to discuss the upcoming annual meeting in Philadelphia. The month will then come to a close with Bishop David Walkowiak of the Diocese of Grand Rapids, Michigan.
CatholicTV Network is also launching two brand-new series. The first, "Forming Faithful Families," is a series where co-hosts, James and Kathleen Littleton explore different topics of Catholic faith and tie in the primary mission of strengthening families in faith. The series, "Symbolon," is another new show to CatholicTV. It provides a comprehensive explanation of the Catholic faith through the help of teacher, speaker and theologian, Dr. Edward Sri. The show will explore topics such as sexual ethics, purgatory, papacy and prayer.
