Moran appointed temporary administrator for Catholic Schools
BRAINTREE -- The Archdiocese of Boston announced Aug. 27 the appointment of Mary E. Moran as Temporary Administrator for the Catholic Schools Office. Moran succeeds Dr. Mary Grassa O'Neill who recently concluded her service to the Archdiocese.
Before joining the Catholic Schools Office for the Archdiocese of Boston in 2012 as special projects manager, Moran served six years as Superintendent of Schools for the Diocese of Manchester. Previously she was principal at St. Augustine School in North Andover, Mass. and St. Joseph School in Lewiston, Maine. She taught at St. Mary School in Southbridge, Mass. and St. Joseph School in Lewiston, Maine. She began her career in 1971 with the Portland Public Schools. Moran holds a Certificate of Advanced Educational Studies, Boston College, M.Ed., Educational Leadership, Boston College, BA, Sociology, University of Southern Maine.
A process will be implemented for the selection of a new Secretary for Education/Superintendent.
