BOSTON -- Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Boston (CCAB) announced March 26 that Annmarie Farretta has joined the social services agency as Director of Marketing and Communications. Farretta will report to Vice President of Development, Megan Artz.

According to CCAB President, Deborah Kincade Rambo, "Annmarie's strategic marketing and communications experience with both the private and nonprofit sectors makes her a tremendous asset to our team. We are proud to have her as our new Director of Marketing and Communications."

In her new position, Annmarie Farretta will be responsible for agency-wide marketing and communication strategy and planning, media relations and crisis communications, internal and executive communications support, as well as digital and branding initiatives.

"I'm thrilled to be given this opportunity to tell Catholic Charities' story of serving those in need," said Farretta. "It is an honor to join a group of people who have dedicated their professional lives to this important work."

Farretta comes to Catholic Charities with 18 years of strategic communications and marketing experience in the private sector as well as higher education. Most recently, she was Executive Director of Marketing and Communications at Mount Ida College, where she led the development of a new strategic plan, a rebranding initiative and an overhaul of the college's digital platforms.

Previously, Annmarie Farretta was Manager of Corporate Communications, Investor and Public Relations at The TJX Companies, specializing in media relations and reputation and issues management.
