Monday, May 1, 10-11 p.m. EDT (PBS) "Matter of Mind: My ALS." Filmmakers Laura Green and Anna Moot-Levin's documentary follows three people suffering from amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, better known as Lou Gehrig's disease, as they confront complex choices. An "Independent Lens" presentation (TV-14 – parents strongly cautioned).

Wednesday, May 3, 8-9 p.m. EDT (PBS) "Attenborough's Wonder of Song." On this episode of the series "Nature," biologist David Attenborough presents seven of the most remarkable animal songs found in nature.

Thursday, May 4, 11:30 a.m.-12:50 p.m. EDT (EWTN) "Holy Mass on the Feast of the English Martyrs." This Eucharistic liturgy honors the 284 canonized or beatified martyrs who died during the English Reformation (TV-G – general audience).

Saturday, May 6, 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m. EDT (EWTN) "Swiss Guards' Swearing-in Ceremony."
