CatholicTV to air 'Child 31,' the story of Mary's meals

WATERTOWN -- The CatholicTV Network will air the film, ''Child 31,'' the powerful documentary film about Mary's Meals.

Mary's Meals is a global movement that sets up school feeding projects in some of the world's poorest communities, where poverty and hunger prevent children from gaining an education. The charity provides one daily meal in a place of learning in order to attract chronically hungry children into a classroom, where they receive an education that can, in the future, be their ladder out of poverty. The charity's work is named after Mary, the mother of Jesus, who brought up her child in poverty. Mary's Meals consists of, respects and reaches out to people of all faiths and none.
