NEW YORK (CNS) -- Here are some television program notes for the week of Dec. 9 with their TV Parental Guidelines ratings if available. They have not been reviewed and therefore are not necessarily recommended by Catholic News Service.

Monday, Dec. 10, 10-11:30 p.m. EST (PBS) "Sacred." Filmmaker Thomas Lennon's documentary looks at the life of faith and the spiritual practices of a wide range of religions (TV-14 -- parents strongly cautioned).

Tuesday, Dec. 11, 9-10:30 p.m. EST (PBS) "Letters From Baghdad." Actress Tilda Swinton narrates the story of British explorer and spy Gertrude Bell (1868-1926), sometimes called the female "Lawrence of Arabia" (TV-PG -- parental guidance suggested).

Wednesday, Dec. 12, noon-1:30 p.m. EST (EWTN) "Holy Mass on the Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe." From Rome, Pope Francis celebrates Mass in honor of the feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe (TV-G -- general audience).

Saturday, Dec. 15, 8-9:30 p.m. EST (EWTN) "The Jeweler's Shop." This film adaptation of the play written by Karol Wojtyla, the future St. John Paul II, tells the story of two sets of Polish spouses and the challenges that love demands of them as they experience World War II (TV-Y -- all children).
