When was the first time you thought of priesthood? When I was in high school and served as an altar boy.

What were major Catholic activities you participated

in prior to the seminary?

Vietnamese Eucharistic Youth.

What is your favorite Scripture passage? Why?

“God is Love” -- 1 John 4:8. The passage expresses God’s abiding love.

Who influenced/inspired you to priesthood?

Please explain.

Holy priests.

What would you say to a young man who thinks he may have a vocation?

Keep on praying to the Holy Trinity. Also, ask for Mary our Mother for intercession.

Please tell us, what are some of the most important parts of discernment?

Pray! Talk to priests and close friends.

What activities would you recommend in order

to foster a culture of vocations?

Set a time for daily Mass and do your rosary daily.

Is seminary formation what you thought it would be? How is it similar and different from your expectations?

It is a holy place. It is a place where you can be in front of the tabernacle 24 hours a day and talk to God. It is a place where your brother seminarians share the same experiences as you.

Did anyone invite you to consider priesthood?

Please explain.

A priest who knows me and my relatives.

How did you come to know Jesus Christ?

Through prayers and daily Mass.

What were the spiritual events or activities that

helped you develop and shape your personal

relationship with Christ and His Church?

Daily eucharistic adoration and seasonal retreat.

What are some of your favorite and most important spiritual readings/books/passages?

Bible. Bishop Fulton Sheen. Professor Peter Kreeft.

Please describe the importance of prayer in your life?

It is a food for my soul. It keeps me away from temptation.
