BRAINTREE -- Two relics of St. Anthony of Padua will be coming to the Greater Boston area in October, where they will be available for veneration at a number of locations in the Archdiocese of Boston from Oct. 6 to Oct. 15.

The relics, traveling from the saint's basilica in Padua, Italy, will be brought to the area by Father Mario Conte, executive director of the English edition of the Messenger of Saint Anthony magazine, and who has traveled with relics of the saint across the world since 1995.

One of the reliquaries that will visit the Boston area contains the saint's 'floating rib,' and was venerated by both Pope Francis when he was Archbishop of Buenos Aires and by Sister Lucia, one of the three seers of Fatima, when it was taken to her convent, the Monastery of Carmelite nuns at Coimbra, in Jan. 1995.
