Marblehead parish presents youth ministry scholarships

Six high school seniors of Our Lady, Star of the Sea Parish in Marblehead recently received $1,000 scholarships for their commitment of four years of Christian service to the parish's youth ministry program.

Father Michael Steele, pastor, and Director of Religious Education Mary Pagliarulo, are pictured with the recipients of the Anna E. Kelly Scholarship Fund -- Youth Ministry Awards who were honored at the Family Liturgy on Sunday, May 22.

The students receiving this year's scholarships are, left to right, Maura Honan, Marblehead High School, Religious Education Ministry, who will attend St. Mary's College, Notre Dame, Indiana; Annabelle Kearney, Marblehead High School, Music Ministry, who will attend Northeastern University; Michael Bolognese, Marblehead High School, Altar Server, who will attend American University; Declan McGorray, Marblehead High School, Music Ministry, who will attend Hofstra University; Kirby Heffrin, Pingree School, Lector, who will attend Connecticut College; and Paige Vigneron, Bishop Fenwick High School, Music Ministry, who will attend Endicott College.
