For years of service — thanks

They served in classrooms, kitchens, colleges, hospitals and nursing facilities. They lived and prayed; laughed and cried; celebrated and grieved; and many times were just there when someone needed them.

The sisters who are celebrating jubilees of religious life gathered with Archbishop O’Malley for Mass at St. Theresa of Avila Church in West Roxbury to recall the years and to give thanks for their service.

The archdiocese celebrates these jubilees with each and all the jubilarians with gratitude for the years — diamond, golden or silver — that each sister has given.

As they so often pray for us, we pray for them — in great gratitude to God for lives of faithful service, here in the archdiocese and in many places beyond.
